VIDEO: If It's Raining, It Must Be Airborne

Maybe it's our fault. In five visits to Airborne Speedway this year, only once has weather not been an issue. It was nice for the season opener on May 2, but in VMM's other trips across the lake this year, it rained and/or snowed on April 28, May 9/10, June 7, and June 13. Sheesh.

Build a dome over the place or something. Or just don't let us in any more.

Heat races were completed for the Modifieds, Sportsmen, Renegades, and Bombers on Plattsburgh Quarry/Nortrax Equipment Night on Saturday, but the rains came as the Mini-Modifieds were getting ready to roll and the program was washed out.

This video of Modified Heat 3 has a little bit of everything: Pierre Berthiaume (#1H) makes a three-wide pass on his way to eventually winning the race, Aaron Bartemy (#B3) goes from passing Dan Brown (#40) three-wide up high, to diving under Terry Hayes (#01), to moving outside Colleen Salisbury (#13) all in the space of one lap, and Brown goes sailing off the backstretch all by himself. Enjoy.
