Gervais Takes Thunder Road Late Model Win

BARRE -- Reno Gervais of Island Pond took his first career Late Model victory at Barre's Thunder Road on Sunday night. The former two-time Tiger Sportsman champion is racing in his first full season of Late Model competition at the track.

Craig Bushey of Cambridge finished a season-best second, with Shelburne's Jamie Fisher third, Matt White of Northfield fourth, and Rich Lowrey of Williston fifth. The unofficial top ten was completed, in order, by Nick Sweet, Cris Michaud, Trampas Demers, Joey Becker, and Dave Pembroke.

Ricky Roberts of Washington was the unofficial winner of the Tiger Sportsman event over Brian Delphia of Waterbury and Jeff Bousquet of Montpelier. Brendan Moodie and Pete Ainsworth were next in line.

Tim Campbell of West Topsham won the Street Stock feature over North Troy's David Allen and Ron Gabaree of Barre. No Junkyard Warrior drivers qualified for the main feature.

Lloyd Blakely of Barre won the Street Stock/Warrior 'reserve' feature over Josh LaCourse and Jason Corliss. All three drivers then transferred into the 'A' main; Blakely finished eighth, Corliss 12th, LaCourse 24th, unofficially. Kevin Streeter of Waitsfield was the top Warrior driver in the 'reserve' feature, finishing seventh.
