Airborne Spring Green Postponed Until Sunday

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- Airborne Speedway's Furniture World of Vermont Spring Green 100 for the ACT Late Model Tour has been postponed by rain until Sunday, May 10. Rains moved into the area during afternoon practice sessions. Reportedly, 47 Late Models were on hand to attempt qualifying for 30 starting positions. The Spring Green is the first of two New Hampshire Motor Speedway qualifying races at the Plattsburgh, N.Y. track this season.

Ricky Wolf of Northwood, N.H. was involved in a crash during practice that heavily damaged his #38NH BG Environmental Chevrolet. Some thought there might have been water left on the track from previous rains during the time of the crash.

"I didn't see (Wolf) crash, but the track was still wet in places when it happened," said Joey Polewarczyk. "I couldn't run the bottom at all. I tried to get on the gas one time and I almost lost the car."

ACT and Airborne Speedway officials have rescheduled the Spring Green 100 for Sunday at 2:00pm. Pit gates open at 10:00am, front gates open at noon.
